WE ART DIFFERENT.
WHY WE ART DIFFERENT.
Heart Studio is more than an art space—it’s a creative community where people of all ages come to connect through Art + Design. Our approach is built on a curriculum developed by founder Kim Piazza, inspired by the after-school art classes she cherished as a child. That same foundation helped launch both Kim and her sister Kelsey into careers as professional designers.
After years in corporate design, Kim found her true calling in teaching. This studio is her passion project—a place where creativity is shared, encouragement is constant, and success is measured in personal growth and confidence.
Whether you're sketching your way through weekly classes, splashing into a workshop, or looking to plan an event, we’re here to sprinkle a little magic on your creative adventure.
what we do.
At Heart Studio, we offer engaging classes designed to foster creativity and skill development. Our toddler classes, known as Create & Craft, aim to enhance fine motor skills and stimulate right-brain activity through explorations in color, shapes, and music.

child program age 5-10
For children aged 5-10, our Weekly Project Classes feature a new theme each week, providing opportunities to explore a variety of artistic mediums. The classes begin with directed drawing exercises to build foundational skills, culminating in a final project that showcases their newfound abilities. Our studio fosters a collaborative environment where we conduct critiques to teach students how to discuss their work using art and design terminology.
child program age 10-18
For students aged 10-18, our curriculum consists of individual project briefs tailored to each student's pace of learning. Each project focuses on developing skills in drawing, painting, and design, utilizing mediums such as watercolor, colored pencils, and digital art interchangeably. Our exploration spans various artistic subjects including still life, animals, people, landscapes, and abstract concepts.
As students progress to advanced levels, we collaborate on self-directed projects to broaden their portfolio and skills.
adult program
Heart Studio specializes in classes and workshops tailored for adults. Whether it be our drawing class on Thursday mornings, our Art Exploration Club Tuesday nights or a Custom Workshop each are designed for adults of all skill levels. We welcome, complete beginners or a seasoned artist looking to refine your techniques, our program supports every adult!
At our studio or at your home! Typically, during the first part of the party, we greet the students, engage in a warm-up mini doodle session, and then proceed to the guided painting activity. The second half is dedicated to celebration, where you can enjoy the food you bring, and if time permits, we engage in an art game.

STOP-MOTION ANIMATION CAMP!
August 12th - 15th • 11:00am - 12:30pm EDT — Learn the basics of stop motion animation in this hands-on 4 session class with local filmmaker, and “Celebrity Deathmatch” animator Tim Smyth. Students will work in groups to come up with stories, and learn to make simple characters and bring them to life, frame by frame, with Stop Motion Animation. The end of the final class will be a premier of the final films for friends, and family. No prior experience necessary. All materials, and equipment will be provided. While we will shoot the animation on computers, this is not computer animation, or CGI. As a note, Miss Kim and Miss Megan will also be assisting the students in their stop-motion development.
Fine print: You are required to enroll all four classes, we are treating this like a mini-camp. Sadly, no sibling rates apply due to limited seating.
