WE keep it real.

So real, that we want you to ask questions to help improve this page.

What is your COVID policy?

Following the state-guidelines, our mask mandate has lifted. However, still feel free to wear one! You do you! With our small class sizes, our vaccinated instructors are not required to wear masks but will happily wear them upon request for a private event. Throughout the pandemic, we had zero exposures because our clientele was outstanding at calling out for colds and we committed to providing the cleanest space possible. We will continue these safe cleaning practices and using the front and back door for natural air flow. Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate our new normal.

How do I register online?

First, go to the Schedule Overview tab to review our weekly classes and get a feel for what would be best. You can also go to the Workshops tab to sign up for a one-time experience. For any “drop-off” class you can sign up via email as we are often managing a waitlist.

For any toddler class, you can sign up online under the Class Packages tab. Once you decide, please select the package you wish to purchase. Next, go to the schedule and use the package code you received to book your classes.

Because we use class packages you never lose a class. We recommend you come to the same day and time each week, but we totally understand that life happens and welcome you to book a make-up class in any available day with an open seat.

Can a class be dropped after I register for it?

Sadly, yes. We require a minimum number of participants for a class to run, and if the class does not fill we will have to drop it. We will let you know in advance if it is dropped.

Can I pay when I get there?

Full payment is required when registering for a class, camp, or workshop. In the event that you want to pay with cash or check, email us and we'll add you to the class, where you can pay with cash or check upon arrival.

There is a $30 returned check charge for any checks or debit transactions returned by the bank.

What is your cancellation policy?

If a class or event is canceled due to inclement weather, instructor illness, or other factors, we will contact you ASAP and those classes or events may be rescheduled.  If rescheduling is not an option, a refund will be given.

What is your weather cancellation policy?

We follow the closures of Salem (yes, Salem not Windham) School District when making weather-related cancellations. We will email and/or text you if the class is cancelled.

It’s always recommended that you call or email us ahead of time. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we will do our best to offer opportunities for make ups.

Do siblings get a discount?

For our toddler classes known as Create & Craft, we offer a sibling package that gives you 8 passes for $152. Instead of paying $52 ($26/ child) a visit, it ends up being $38 ($19/ child). For ages 6 and up, we offer a $75/ sibling set package for 90-MIN Classes. Please inquire via email for this special rate.

How many students are in each class?

Ages 6+ classes are limited to five students (or four households) with one or two instructors to ensure personal attention from the teacher and ample space to work. Ages 2-5 classes are limited to five students (or four households) with one instructor. Some parties, workshops, private events, or camps may exceed ten depending on the activity and group approval.

Are parents required to stay?

With the exception of Create & Craft (Ages 2-5 Class), all of our classes are drop-off programs.

Please arrive on time. Arrive no more than 10 minutes before the class to drop-off, and please pick up at the listed dismissal time.

Let us know if someone else will be picking up your child. Other persons authorized for pick-up must be listed. If they are not listed, we require written or in-person verbal confirmation, so please send an email or let us know in person.  These people will be required to show ID upon arrival.

Are you a nut-free facility?

We strive to be allergy aware and provide a safe environment for your child.  Parents/Guardians are responsible for indicating any allergies or other medical conditions of the child upon creating an account, and promptly updating us if there are any changes to that information.

ANY FOODS CONTAINING NUTS OR NUT INGREDIENTS ARE KEPT AWAY FROM THOSE WITH ALLERGIES AND IT IS NOT OUR POLICY TO SHARE FOOD.

We exercise reasonable care and precautions to minimize the risk of food-related allergic reactions by implementing, communicating & enforcing our allergy aware policy. However, Heart Studio does not in any way ensure that the risks of food-related allergic reactions are completely mitigated, nor does it assume liability for any food-related allergic reactions. Parents/Guardians assume full responsibility for their child’s allergies and medical conditions, and participants that carry an EpiPen are required to sign an EpiPen waiver before participating in any activities.

Do you take donations?

Yes! We love to inspire young friends to consider their impact on our community. So, think of us when you have any extra art supplies.

Will the paint wash out?

Maybe.  We recommend you or your young Picasso to wear clothes that are okay to stain.

What are the credentials of the instructors?

The teachers at Heart Studio are knowledgeable educators with substantial experience teaching art and/or design. The owner has a BFA in Industrial Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and passed all tests required to teach Design & Visual Communications for Massachusetts Vocational Schools.

Can I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds. If for some reason you are not satisfied with what we are doing or something unexpectedly comes up, please let us know.  We will do our best to make it right.
